Assisi

Assisi was very fun. There we got to see St. Francis's tomb. We had to be quiet while walking into it because many people from all over Italy came to pray in honor of St. Francis of Assisi. Below the church were the tombs of his companions. I watched as people lit candles in honor of them. Over all The city was beautiful and I loved the architecture of the city. The view from the city was very pretty because it looked out to green hills and a town situated on the hill. We took a scenic route to Assisi where we saw more hills covered with low clouds. Also we saw a tree with purple flowers called The Judas tree. In all I had a great time in Assisi.

Eating Cafeteria Food on Tour - not with Incantato: We are foodies and if you are not one yet, we are happy to convert you on tour.

What better way to experience a new culture than through its food. This is particularly true for Italy. This is a picture album of a special luncheon we organized for the members of the St. Bon's College Italy Tour this past spring. Don't watch these pictures if you are hungry or on a diet.

Unique Experiences with Incantato: A day in the Italian countryside for WRA

Incantato promotes stepping off the beaten path for a true immersion into the local culture. During their 2010 Italy Performance Tour, the students from Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio along with their families experienced first hand how cheese (pecorino) and olive oil is made in Umbria from the artisans that proudly carry-on the traditions of their forefathers.
